September 10- Captiva Sunset Boat Trip - meet 5pm and carpool from the church hall on Williams Dr. or at South Seas Plantation boat docks marina 20 minutes before boat departure RSVP and info Lion Greg Maxwell
November 12th- 2nd Annual Fort Myers Beach Open Putt Putt Golf Tournament! 9-noon. Social and Fund Raiser event Lions Jack Scott will being obtaining approval as a recruiting and Foundation Fund raising Event
December - OFFICIAL Club Holiday Party Club Event 2nd Thursday in December 6pm South Beach Grille
Jan. 2012 - 4th Thursday Bring Prospective Members for get acquainted with Lions short program food fun and social meeting hall Williams Dr.
February - Boat Ride Trip possibly in association with Shrimp Festival Princesses if Chair and board approves if not the event will be strictly fun and social - 3rd week-end afternoon?
March - Shrimp Festival possible Membership recruiting information booth at the EXPO!!! Lions Needed to commit to a 2 hour shift Saturday or Sunday!!!
April 7 - SE Guide Dog Trip. Lion Linda Floyd will be providing details Lunch included!!! Complete facility tour and hands on demonstrations!!!
The Membership Committee accepted the above social calendar of events for May 2011 - April 2012. The events are not Club sponsored unless noted but have been set after several months of discussion as a way for members, spouses, guests, friends and potential future members to socialize and informally become a part of our Lions family.
Our goal is to make a more cohesive club, put some fun in our activities, and attract new members
Lions are strongly encouraged to invite non Lions to attend as their guests! These are easy and great opportunities for Beach Lions to invite anyone they think may be interested in being a lion or helping Lions achieve more. Relatives and friends always welcome!
Next Membership Meeting - 1st Thursday monthly 5:30-6:30 Sand Bar Restaurant upstairs 7205 Estero Blvd. All Lions welcome food and beverage.
